Pope Benedict XVI has sent a message of condolence on the deaths of Cuban human-rights activists Oswaldo Paya and Harold Cepero, who were killed in a car crash on July 22.
Voicing his regret at the ?tragic episode,? the Pope offered ?his heartfelt condolences and spiritual closeness? to the families of the victims.
