Community nonprofit management and leadership conference ...

Breakout sessions are offered in areas geared toward nonprofit organizations such as community engagement, collaborative and strategic marketing, governance and operations, finance/risk management, social enterprise and innovation and leadership teams.

APSU Center for Extended Education & Distance Learning

Austin Peay?s School of Technology and Public Management, the Department of Public Management and Criminal Justice, along with Hands On Clarksville, and the Clarksville Montgomery County Nonprofit Partnership Network are partnering on April 13 to conduct a Nonprofit Management and Leadership Conference at the Morgan University Center.

The conference, a Clarksville first, ? has the theme ?Unleashing Your Organization?s Most Important Asset: YOU!? ? and will feature more than 100 nonprofit leaders, board members, students and volunteers who will explore innovative strategies and creative approaches to managing and navigating change.

The conference will take place from 7:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The day will begin with a continental breakfast and networking followed by a welcome message by President Timothy Hall, the presentation of a Nonprofit Day Proclamation on behalf of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and opening comments.

Participants will be welcomed at lunch by Dr. Tristan Denley, provost and vice president of academic affairs, along with County Mayor Carolyn Bowers. Keynote speaker, Debra Palmer George of Palmer Solutions, will lead a session, titled ?To Be Your Best for the World.?

Hands On Clarksville

In celebration of Clarksville-Montgomery County Nonprofit Day, Hands on Clarksville is asking attendees to bring a child?s book, stuffed toy or a child-size canvas bag to be donated to Head Start classrooms, Safe House Domestic Violence Shelter and Centerstone?s RIP Program.

The cost for the daylong conference is $50 and includes meals and all conference materials. Space is limited and reservations must be made in advance.
